REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT OR CERTIFIED DENTAL ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our growing office is looking for a part- or full-time dental assistant to join our team. Previous dental assisting experience is preferred but not required. The position will require primarily dental assisting duties as well as front office/administrative duties. We need a caring, dependable, hard-working person who is continually striving for personal and professional growth. Applicants must be kind, considerate, work well within our current team, work efficiently, and be able to multitask.

An ideal team member will possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn our office systems as well as contribute to the continual improvement of our office. Our primary focus is to create a positive, family orientated office culture, and provide an amazing experience for our patients.

**We are willing to train a motivated candidate and help them achieve their licensure**

PREFERENCES:

  • Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred, but not required
  • Level I or Level II Expanded Function Dental Assistant
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of dental treatment, instrumentation, and sterilization methods
  • Knowledge of OSHA and infection control
  • Experience with radiography protocol & impression taking

DUTIES:

  • Providing an exceptional patient experience
  • Assisting dentist and hygienist chair-side
  • Taking records, impressions, or x-rays
  • Using computers for scheduling and updating electronic patient records
  • Sterilizing instruments, cleaning operatories, and cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Assisting with lab tasks as needed
  • Assisting with front office tasks as needed
  • Front office duties include taking phone calls, processing payments, making appointments, and other office responsibilities as needed

SALARY:

$17.00 - $27.00 per hour
